Title: Re: karma questions Post by: Uncle Elvis on August 27, 2008, 01:39:41 AM OHHH.. joka's makin a thinly veiled reference to me. I thought I was the bitch, Jokes. Looks like SOMEONE can't man up and say it outright.
Cracks me up. Here's the thing. Every single one of them? EVERY. SINGLE. ONE of them was warranted under the guidelines set up. Wasn't creepy at all. Wasn't obsessive. It was an attempt to use the system as it was intended. Just because YOU don't have a problem with your friend stalking people around the site, making bizarre threats, libellous allegations and personal attacks, even though it's your job to deal with trolling behaviour doesn't mean me smiting him for very good reason was wrong. It was a RESPONSE to creepy. Funny how you don't mention that, there Jokes. You keep that stick up your ass about me, there. See how well that does for you in life. Title: Re: karma questions Post by: Mike on August 27, 2008, 03:38:57 AM Whoa, nelly.
Fight in the Tank, keep your paranoid ranting out of the main site. I'm trying to understand something important about the karma system... what I see is that it really does have an emotional value as well. Title: Re: karma questions Post by: Uncle Elvis on August 27, 2008, 09:08:02 AM What? Jokes is allowed to take a cowardly swipe at me, but I'm not allowed to defend?
Got it. My bad. We're only allowed to beat around the bush like pussies. Title: Re: karma questions Post by: Mike on August 27, 2008, 05:40:12 PM What you suggest is pretty much what it started out being used for in our initial small group, but I don't think it is used the same way now. Are you referring to the times when people have gone on every hour just to smite a person repeatedly? Or something different? Yeah, in your paranoid delusions, it's all about you, isn't it? Or, is that your conscience ringing in your ears? Thanks for derailing that thread; now everyone else is afraid to post on it. >:( Title: Re: karma questions Post by: Joka-ExSmoka on August 27, 2008, 09:58:42 PM OHHH.. joka's makin a thinly veiled reference to me. See how well that does for you in life. #1 - When I left this forum and took a break... I buried any beef I had with people. #2 - I thought both you and rummy started doing this. I also thought LBT n Rummy got into this sorta shit briefly. I can't recall anyone else off the top of my head... but it wouldn't surprise me if a few other people did this too. #3 - When I decided I'd come back, I made the decision to do my best to avoid getting into stupid little arguments. There's enough drama in day to day life, I don't need anymore from people I don't even know. #4 - You give yourself too much credit. Even if I did have a stick up my ass about you, which I don't, honestly - It would have absolutely no effect on my life, my happiness, anything. Game Over Title: Re: karma questions Post by: Captain Canuck on August 28, 2008, 03:09:35 PM This is precisely the point i was trying to make in the real thread. All this emotion, all this back and forth over Karma?!?!. If you don't like something say so...don't come on every hour to smite the person or have a group come in and gang smite. You know what effect it will have...so you willingly add fuel to the fire, thus perpetuating the very thing we all complain about...derailment of threads. I'm not using names cuz i don't care who did it or for what reasons....it's all childish. It's real simple, voice your opinion and move on. Not everyone is going to agree but hey...THAT'S LIFE, learn to cope!
man...admittedly at the beginning i was hell bent on trying to get as much as i could, cuz it was like a validation to all the super insightful and frankly quite genius posts i came up with daily (well atleast in my mind anyway :-[ )...but then at the end of the day...WHO CARES? Then it didn't matter, but unfortunately it's morphed into something ugly. We all know who contributes and who doesn't and who is here to disrupt. I say all this attention to something so silly takes away from proper discourse. Let's collectively move forward here people, and leave the schoolyard tactics to the kids in prospect primary.
