I don't have enough finger strength to go into the troubles we've had with one of the big banks. ?The biggest though - twice - we sent wire transfers home. ?As usual, the funds were held until they reach the destination. ?Well, I saw them in my Royal Bank account, I called RB and they verified they had been received. ?The Bda bank continued to hold the funds but also took the same amount again from my account for the wire. ?So the $2000 wire became $4000 until the hold was released - 5 days later! We had some friends down and had to borrow cash from them - very embarassing indeed. ?When we went to the bank to complain the second time this happened (after a few other screw ups along the way) we insisted on seeing the manager. ?We got her and her response - if you're not happy, bank somewhere else. ?Our account obviously was not important enough on the scheme of things!

Mike - karma to you - as hard as things get you can't sell your soul or take the path of least resistance.
