Thought this might be the appropriate place for this thread.

The headline on the front page of the RG (no link available yet) is concerning to me as an ex-pat here but surely to the whole of Bermuda and yet the Dr decides to "pass" on commenting.  By claiming to their faces that IB Chief Execs are "crying wolf" is just playing a game of brinkmanship that Bermuda can not afford for him to lose.  His arrogance defies belief.

I was just reading that article myself....

Does anyone have a subscription to www.globalreinsurance.com  and can post the article referred to in the Gazette?

What do you make of Investco deciding to relocate to Bermuda from London? They manage a huge amount of money, but not sure how many actual jobs will move here.

Not saying as it would not be prudent

I don't know about leaving but there are at least a few that are not coming in the first place.

Others are setting up overseas subs (a natural stage in their growth but typically not until they are very mature companies) within a few weeks or months of incorporating.  As a result they are far less dependent on the island than one might expect since relatively few jobs will be here.
