OK, i've got to the point now where i have to put fingers to keyboard and let rip with my biggest bug bear at the moment, and only because i face it at least 6 times a week and it's now really starting to piss me off big time.

The new(ish) traffic lights at Collectors Hill.  When going home each night, 3 times out of 5 i can be guaranteed that those driving away from Hamilton can be guaranteed not to make it across the traffic lights in one easy swoop - and why?? because some bone heads, numb nuts choose to park across the cross hatch that allows cars to move into the parking lot at the back of the collectors hill shops.  So one car coming from Hamilton needing to turn right into the car park at the back of the shops, has all the traffic queued up behind him as he's trying to turn right into the parking lot.  Of course, all the cars are backed up across the junction then going towards the petrol station alll because one very stupid, dim person can't take note of the cross hatch that prohibits stopping in that zone.

A simple solution to this problem would be to make the entrance/exit to these shops a one way system and to have BIG BIG BIG signs by the cross hatch saying NO STOPPING - OR ELSE!  this would improve the flow of traffic dramaticallly - you could put a fourth set of lights at the proposed exit in the middle of the junction to allow traffic out instead of people trying to get out, bust into the queue and again block exit/entry into the car park.

Another thing that needs attention, when going home and it's still light and very sunny, it's reallly hard to make out the lights with the sun shining directly on them, something needs to be done to make these lights more visible, especially when the sun is going down in the evening.  Won't be long before someone has an accident becaus of this.

PS - I believe that the traffic lights are a very good idea, especilly for those coming off collectors hill to go to work in the morning - but now whoever planned it has to swallow his pride and admit that it wasn't that well planned and that a few adjustments need to be made to make it a good and safe crossing.

The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact us.

Oh stop moining vumen. Damn axpatz...ya all dee sayme.

Dunt yoo realise who lives in the area??? If you make a wrong turn you will end up at the house of the "Lord of the Rings"........Cedar rings that is. This area has been designated a 'High Security' area.

It is easier for the hidden camera to determine if there is a threat, real or imagined.

As for your solutions...try riding your horse along the shoreline instead of backing up traffic. Either that...you can take the E.B. Special..detz rite...runs arry half howar......'Gombey House' please.....from there you get free transport and could even have a wine with 'Larry the Cable Guy' oooppss damn....let the cat on a hot tin roof....out of the bag.....

Gotta run............Acting Governor horn dee lyne........Vat? Vat?.....Quo Fata Furunt" part two.........................damn....vers Shaken-not stird-spere ven eye neid hyme.....................

All jokes aside Valley, you bring up something that has been brewing for years. Even when I was a child(leeve hit alone) the same problem has always been there at that junction.
It all relates to 'courtersey'.
Everyone is always in a hurry to get home(not directed at you) but not to get back from lunch......it's all relative...tink ahbowt it.....

Gotta run......Mike and Reality juss sant mee a Pee Am.........um hin trubble nah......Damn.......................hallways sumtin.....
