How else would they get to see the parade?  Just kidding. Personally I'm glad when they are out in full force at public events - makes me less worried about getting a machete upside the head!

Wish they could have a presence like that all the time.  Have to admit I don't feel safe in crowds of people.  Question...was there any provision made for parking due to the parade or does that explain the heavy police prescene?  Would be interesting to find out how many parking tickets were given out.

We were on Harbor Road... the issue there was vehicles trying to drive the wrong way after the road was blocked at the round-about... it was comical to watch these people have to drive backwards ... I was glad when the police came and enforced the "one way"... Makes you wonder where they (police) all are every day........
