Ok, so just got back from the polls. Outside were Darrel, Perinchief and for the UBP... none other than C.V. Jim Woolridge. Who upon shaking my hand, called me "Mello" from the farm. Now... I have to qualify this. My father worked for Bermuda News Bureau, Dept. of Tourism, Information Services and served under C.V. for years!

I gotta say... first off... if you are the UBP and are trying to show a "new" face... why the hell would you dig up a relic like "The woice of summa" to stand outside as a greeter??? Where the hell is the UBP candidate for the area??? Not that Warner was getting my vote anyway!

Step forward... where?Huh If that's the hope of the "new" UBP, then John Swan will be back in power in no time!!!!

Mr. Warner was there earlier. He may have had to go somewhere and Jim was just covering for him.

Have to agree with UE. They may have gone to the 'potty' or something else. It's not illegal nor unethical to do this, plus knowing C.V. he's always out there doing something. Good thing he did'nt call you 'too late' or Cabral Desousa Correira.

Gotta run.........see what I mean.........would'nt want a 'wedgie' on election day ya no. But....tomorrow or late tonight we all may have a bad case of "I gotta run"...champagne style......

A great day to all and don't forget to vote for 'UPS'...detz rite....anything, anywhere, on time, and only three days...........damn...verz Guilden? Guilden, come becks...det koud bee hour ah noo party logo...UPS................ Wink

Mr. Warner is back ... geesh we are all human ... and I don't want to start a "policitians in bathrooms discussion" ... but I wouldn't put too much into having them stand there all day without a break ... I would just expect that someone was there coverring for them as it seems the case was here ... how well they cover for the absent candidate well that's another matter.

I guess the point has been missed. I'm less miffed about Warner being there than having Woolridge around and then not remembering who the hell I was! Woolridge isn't even from my district! He's a Flatts boy!

Another sign that the UBP is NOT serious about Pembroke Central.

While I never have had to feel uncomfortable about voting UBP, simply because there was no other choice, I feel sorry for anyone who had to be embarassed by this man today. The PLP keep beating the drum about how this UBP is your dad's UBP, and here in full colour was proof in the pudding! If CV was going to be anywhere he should have been down in Smith's North helping out Dunkley!

Oh come on Sparxx. Would YOU leave home without a CV?Huh? Would YOU apply for a job without  a "CV".??

All good diplomats have one. Dunkley will present his this evening only because it is being circulated by demand. You might be able to put out a fire with water but always remember that when the Milkman delivers your out of the fire and back in the kitchen in no time.

"GOT MILK"? Wink

I would imagine that Warner had to go vote in his own district.  Go easy on CV.  They've got to cover 36 districts at different points of the day.  Jim's a good guy, and most people like him.

The Bermuda Sun last weekend did an article on all candidates in the area.  They were asked a few questions.  One of the questions was something to the effect of "what puts you at an advantage over the other candidates", or something like that.  Mr. Warners answer was precisely what I would want to hear from a candidate.  He spoke of his passion to serve and listen to the constituents about their concerns, and his eagerness to start.  Mr. Perinchief on the other hand made an absolute fool of himself answering the question.  His response was something like..."I've served in the community for over 30 years, and I don't think Mr. Warner is a Bermudian, but he's the spouse of a Bermudian.   Sorry but I cannot remember what Mr. Darrells response was.

Now, please tell me why is Mr. Warner so wrong for the area when clearly he has a vision for the area, something that Mr. Perinchief does not.

You know, I've been thinking the exact same thing....John Swan, Quinton Edness, an C.V. should have stayed far away from thingz....made it look like the same ol' UBP...that and the PRC misunderstanding really lost them a sh*t load of votes.... the PLP had a field day talkin bout the UBP will let forigners buy up all ur land an leave nothing for ur grandchildren.......
