And the world still turns, court cases still happen, election or not...

A man was given a suspended sentence for hitting someone in the back of the head with a hammer, causing a nasty head injury.

Quote
The complainant went to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment where he needed seven staples to a head wound, two CAT scans and had bleeding to the brain. One doctor found a fracture while the other only found a haematoma.

How is that only a suspended sentence? It was argued that he should not be jailed because it was a first time offence... so what, everyone gets to see if he does it a second time?

Great thread Reality...........................

You must always remember with the types of new Legislation that are wanting to be adopted....................

                    'THREE STIKES AND YOUR OUT'

I feel a song comming on ........if I had a hammer, I'd hammer in the morning, I'd hammer in the evening all over their head, I hammer out Justice, I'd Hammer....................

Sad is it not? Even the Judiciary are in a hurry. Amazing, and they wonder why we are where we are today?

Gotta run........doing some work on the driveway....Hey Jack, wheres mighy Hammer??

Cool.... so I can go rob a bank and get a suspended sentence?

Taking a hammer in one's hand and aiming it at the back of someone's head then proceeding to smash it into his head is not grounds for a suspended sentence. Six months minimum - and no early out for good behaviour. Didn't they lock up some tourists for attacking someone using their fists? A hammer is a deadly weapon for goodness sake.

Probably let him off so he could get down to vote.... Undecided
