Good evening, I've been lurking on the site for a week or so, following all the shenanigans of the election and thought it was time to introduce myself....

White, female ex-pat, returned to the UK this year after an intended two year stint in Bermuda stretched to eleven years. I try to keep in touch with what is happening on the island as I have a black Bermudian partner and a dual heritage (as is the PC term in the UK) 18 month old daughter. We may return to Bermuda in the future although after nine month's in the UK my partner is actually more reluctant than me to consider going back. Smiley I also have two teenage daughters who went through their primary education on the island but needless to say were shipped out to boarding school for the secondary years.

I apologise in advance for any bad typos or spelling mistakes. This is not a lack of ability, more a result of having a one-year hanging off my arm. Please bear with me!

I have enjoyed reading the topics so far and look forward to adding my two pence worth.

Glad to have you join us, Englicious. I know how those stints can end up stretching so long...

Your typing was great... one-armed typing while holding a baby is a trick I need to learn soon, any tips?

Hope you're enjoying your time back in the UK... grey winter days aside it is a great place to be.
