In the Zimbabwe elections, the Opposition Movement for Democratic Change are claiming a clear lead in the election!

Of course Mugabe's camp are calling this a coup d'etat, which is complete bullshit, and he'll probably declare the election void and keep the Presidency, but it is an AMAZING thing, this.

I can't tell you how excited I am by this. I'm not getting my hopes up, but I am excited.

My 'rents were in Zimbabwe a couple weeks ago. The hotel they stayed at didn't have power...they couldn't even find things that we take for granted like a loaf of bread or eggs. A guide drove them to Botswana which took about 90 minutes...they didnt see another car. When my pops gave the driver a $20 tip, the driver practically fell to the floor to kiss his feet. Exchange rate at the time was $1 US = $40 million Zim. So sad.

I cannot speak for why people understand that my using an icon to show I'm not being serious doesn't cause flak over why you get flak for making comments and not choosing to use icons to show you are only joking. UE -  52 polls submitted out of 200 odd after 48 hours is rigging for sure. Having seen what Kenya just went through I certainly hope we won't be seeing the same thing in Zimbabwe.
