I'd really like to know who is responsible for allowing crews to close lanes on roads at rush hour.

This morning it was Harbour Road near the Dinghy Club - sometime after 8:00 a.m. Works & Engineering was surveying something and had closed one lane to traffic and was controlling the flow by means of the usual Stop and Go signs.  That road is enough of a bottleneck in the morning without help. I didn't understand the bit where Chris Tucker keeps yelling, really, really loudly at Jackie Chan about...

OH!... Sorry...

Yes, I agree with you. There should be certain times that roads should be kept clear. I understand that there are times it just can't be, but surveying?
I'm no engineer (although I look good in the hats) but surely there's nothing - like expansion or contraction of something because of heat, whatever - that makes surveying a time sensitive thing.

"QUICKLY GUYS! WE'VE GOTTA GET THE BOATHOUSE SURVEYED BY 9AM OR THAT LITTLE GIRL IS GOING TO DIE!"

Thank god I don't have to do that any more.
