Everytime I have seen Gregory Slayton he is wearing a baseball cap.  While he is outdoors it's very good idea to keep the sun of what might be a thinning head of hair he has hidden within.  However, I was having lunch with my  daughter in L'Oriental last week and in he walks with said cap and proceeds to keep it in place all through his lunch.  Now the way I was brought up, this is just plain bad manners.  A hat should never be worn indoors by a man (or at least by a gentleman).  You would have thought that given his position, he should know more than a little about etiquette, but sadly it seems he doesn't.

Baseball caps are ugly but serve a purpose in the right place but please Mr Slayton - remember your manners and remove your cap indoors!

I saw Mr. Slayton on the news once talking about his baseball cap and he was saying that it's kinda become his "trademark" but have to agree with you on this one, the baseball cap has to go!  It ain't good and it ain't groovy.  (especially not in the restaurant)  Does anyone know if he wears it to church?

I'm really surprised that nobody asked him to remove it.  That's not the type of place where a baseball cap would fly - and I doubt the average server up there has a clue as to who he is (not that that should matter).

on m'blog, ages ago, I put out an offer to buy him a nice hat, or several, if it meant he'd stop wearing those.
No one took me up on it... unfortunately. *grin*

He is such a nice guy that I'll give him a pass on the hat, even though I tend to agree.

Everytime I have seen Gregory Slayton he is wearing a baseball cap.

I always figured that was why they shipped him off to Bermuda.   Roll Eyes

Maybe he'll drop the hat shtick if someone pointed out that, in conjunction with the ginger hair and odd facial hair stylings, it makes him look like a leprechaun.

Well there he was at Coral Beach yesterday, in the dining room, cap on head.

As an American, I find it embarrassing.

As a Bermudian, I find it offensive.

I agree.  Offensive.

Coral Beach is one of the few places I would have expected to maintain proper decorum by asking him to remove it.  I'm disappointed in the Club.

It really is ridiculous. If the guy is so worried about what his head looks like or has a medical need to wear a hat he could at least come up with something that's more suitable. A scruffy baseball cap worn in social circles puts out the image of the ugly American. If it's just because he wants it to be his "trademark" then it's just plain ignorant. And obnoxious. Hmmmm.... maybe we should all start wearing baseball caps whenever he's around.... Wink

Clever. That would definitely get the point across, and without having to give him grief directly.
