Is someone wearing a hat ruining your meal? All the crazy things people wear and people complain about hats? How old are you? I personally think women with too much makeup look like clowns or whores? Maybe they should be asked to clean their face or leave. What about all the women with wolverine nails, or guys with baggy pants or the various chunks of metal in peoples faces? Think for yourselves people don't just spit out what your parents told you! If you don't like it don't do it. Do you even know where the custom of not wearing hats indoors came from?

I was original going to go with Rimmer a favourite character of mine on Red Dwarf but I thought it might be misunderstood. Maybe i should remove the "e"?

Wearing a BASEBALL cap inside a nice restaurant is bad manners. Period. Has nothing to do with parents.

Bad manners but more importantly disrespectful.  Places have dress codes, especially places like Coral Beach.

The point is that he thinks just becuase of who he is and that it's some sort of cute 'trademark' he can ignore dress codes that any other patrons have to follow - and that's ridiculous.

If the man wants to wear his cap he should stick to the golf course and sports bars (and even the sports bars make you take the cap off at night time).

Slayton's 'trademark' point is such bullshit. So, if I make a habit of, say, getting blind drunk and making an ass of myself in restaurants, I can excuse that by saying that it's become my 'trademark' now, so all's forgiven?

Now that sounds like a rather tasty bit of trivia. Give!

George Carlin explained it in context of religious worship:

Jewish male - hat on
Jewish female - hat off
Catholic male - hat off
Catholic female - hat on

See, it makes perfect sense.   dunce

Surely it should read, "Jewish male - hat on, helmet off"?
