.... and look who's at the helm. wacko

Terry Lister is the acting Premier of Bermuda and is called upon to speak to the gathering of Ombudsmen from the Carribean conference. "PATI cakes PATI cakes...."

How wonderfully convenient for Ewart Brown to be off island for the whole week down in Jamaica with the Governor checking out the troops. I wonder how quickly that trip was organised once they heard the Ombudsmen were coming to town.... then again I guess even Brown would have a hard time keeping a straight face talking to that crowd.

Protecting criminals, attacking business, increasing government spending, promoting a sense of envy and grievance, raising taxes on people who are productive and subsidizing those who are not -

all this is a re-run of the Revolutionary Black Panthers of the 1960s.

Well actually, not like the Black Panthers at all... the Panthers were never a government, they never raised any taxes and therefore couldn't subsidise anyone... Granted the Panthers were heavily contaminated with a criminal element but they attacked anything and everything including their own. The Black Panthers actually had more in common with Canada's current Hell's Angels cadre...
