Lets have an inane topic for a change to try and lighten up the mood.

Why is it that road signs (for side roads) are only on one side? ie if you are driving east on Middle Road, all the road signs for the streets on your right hand side are on the side of the street that means you have to look behind you to see which street it is. The signs on your left are visible as you approach them.

Is it so that we have to go and do a "U turn" further up the road so that we can see the sign as we approach it, (and generally miss it, as its hidden thus necessitating another "U turn")?

BREAKING NEWS:  Minister of Transport Ewart Brown has just awarded a contract to Correia, DeSilva & Brown to install  street signs at all locations that currently have only one sign.

Minister Brown stated: " Iwas being driven along the road the other day and i happened to notice something and I asked myself, self: Why is it that road signs (for side roads) are only on one side? ie if you are driving east on Middle Road, all the road signs for the streets on your right hand side are on the side of the street that means you have to look behind you to see which street it is. The signs on your left are visible as you approach them.

Is it so that we have to go and do a "U turn" further up the road so that we can see the sign as we approach it, (and generally miss it, as its hidden thus necessitating another "U turn")?

This is such an important issue I have pushed through an SDO. In addition I shall also be taking an entourage off to Australia to inspect a very innovative program on how  they handle their street signs."

I know a guy who used to live on Monkey Hole Lane.  Really!

Here's the old Monkey Business photo set in the new album:
