Well, to be fair Reality the "man" we're referring to in the instance of the 2 13yr olds is only 18. And was 17 during the time that he had sex with both girls. I'm not saying that I think it's cool for 17year olds to have sex with 13 year olds. I don't think 17 year olds should ever be having sex with 13 year olds, period.

I just question if is it really right to consider him as an adult because now he's 18? Or perhaps maybe my problem is more with the age of consent being 16. Especially being that you're considered an adult when you're 18... It just leaves 17 as a bit of a 'grey area'.  I don't know... I just can't help but feel that this sentence is just a lil too harsh.

Well yea I'm sure he's aware of the age of consent. Whether a chat would have helped, who knows... I guess it depends if he's the kinda kid that listens to his parents... or if he's the kind that likes to learn the hard way. 

In terms of him receiving a harsher sentence than older men have in the past... are you referring specifically to Bermuda? or elsewhere? If Bermuda, any case in particular you know of where an older guy got a lighter sentence? I can't think of any off the top of my head... but my memory's a little foggy sometimes
