At least I *think* it is! I dunno, I'm like a zombie now when I go to buy something, all I hear is "mwuawawa" and I hand over money - like you would do in some exotic location where you don't understand the language nor the currency (like Asia for example)...

Anyhooooo - our luxury apartments are WAY more than any of these places - we get the honour of paying $2,500 USD for roach and ant infested hovels with black splotches of mould to decorate the walls.

I don't know what the cost of an international newspaper here is, but magazines I buy at home for $3-$4 are actually $9-$10 here.

And I haven't the faintest what a fast-food hamburger costs here cause I never go out to eat anymore, and if I did, it wouldn't be for a $20 burger.

Why wasn't Bermuda included in Mercer's survery?

Where did you find a place for $2,500? *grin*

Pish....

If you want an expensive cup of coffee (or cofee as it says in the aisle at Lindo's), then try Prague.

For the pleasure of sitting at a table in "the Square", I paid $16 a cup. I did get a smile (which is often more than you get here) + a napkin and a small miniscule biscuit mind you.

@ UE - Actually I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lucky and I pay a lot less than that for a GORGEOUS 1 bedroom apt that was recently overhauled so I have all new cabinets, bathroom fixtures etc. and this place takes dogs and it's in a central parish. Mind you, this only came after a lot of begging and pleading. but I love it there and I have the BEST landlord on the entire island!

@Martin - if I could find a good coffe in a square in one of the most beautiful cities on earth and get service with a smile, I'd gladly pay $16 - but first I check out how much the beer was! Smiley

... coffee is well over $5 at the Princess.  It is really good coffee, though.

Anybody have a recent price of joe from the lounge there?
