"Falcon - the 'they' in the installation of this system is TCD...check some posts from SG and we can see how that has not worked out so well!

Yes indeed. I'd have much preferred to have seen the government use the money to pay for the police officers belated salary increases and have them do the simple solid and fair method called good old fashioned police work. We'd have happier police officers, less idiots on the road trying to pull a scam and safer roads. Technology can be a good thing but it's not sustainable when it's meant to simply replace necessary people for the sake of putting money in the pockets of a few.

I understand WHY they're doing it, I merely question the timing like others. Can't this be done at 5pm?The same people they're trying to catch on the way in will presumeably be the same they'll catch on the way out of Hamilton.Either way it's an inconvenience, but why make people late for work? It's not as though there's some public announcement so that employers can be made aware.I realize that making such an announcement will tip off the offenders to not drive, but there has to be some other option. Are there any stats to say how many illegal drivers are caught during these impromptu blitz,is it worth making half of Bermuda late for work?

Hmmm kinda reminds me of my commute to London - it used to drive me spare when the suiciders would jump onto the tracks of an evening when i was trying to get home and would get delayed for hours while they cleaned up the mess.

It used to be said (and perhaps still is), if you're going to do this then please, in the morning or during the day - not when we're all trying to get home after a hard days work.

Welllll I'd rather during the day or in the evening on my way home from work because I have to make up any time that I am late...so if it's in the morning, then I have to stay after work anyway - encroaching on my personal time 2x...

Even worse on the Tube - and you are stuck in a tunnel. No consideration some people!

"I think it's a very good idea".
