Yup I saw this earlier. One aircraft grounded in Glasgow for non-paymnet of air traffic control fees and landing fees. Another grounded in Calgary for non payment of fuel and non payment of aircraft lease fees.
It's all over for Zoom me thinks.

From the BBC:

"They added that hopes of securing a new investment package to ensure future operations had failed, meaning administration procedures had to begin.

The announcement came after one of its planes was detained at Glasgow Airport on Thursday for non-payment of air traffic control charges.

Meanwhile passengers on a flight from Cardiff were told to get off their Zoom plane, which was then impounded. "

Can you imagine sititng on a plane and then being told to get off? Jeez. Poor buggers all round.

I wonder how that C Travel promotion is going..... you know the one - book a ticket on Zoom and we'll give you a free ticket.

Zoom suspends operations, strands passengers

I see Zoom has grounded all of their fleet and will file for bankruptcy, leaving fare paying customers in the lurch. I hope there aren't too many of you who have tickets on Zoom!

I have a few friends who have booked with zoom for upcoming flights and so far so good.  One friend has booked with her credit card which means that she can recover the money from her CC company - though the cost of flying with BA to come out is 150 pounds more expensive and she doesn't have a lot of spare cash - so needs to decide whether she can still come out or not.  another friend booked her mother to come out and paid through C Travel.  Apparently C Travel have promised her money back with a cheque - she should collect Tuesday.  apparently C Travel who are registered agents with Zoom have a policy of not paying for the flights (to Zoom) until the flight has been completed - so no hassles if you booked through C Travel.

I feel for those poor bleeders that were travelling yesterday when it was announced.  Someone I know who was due to fly back yesterday when it was announced had to pay out $700 bucks each to fly home using BA - actually that's not a "bad" price in the scheme off things.  I'm just keeping everything crossed they can recover that.

Now watch BA rip us all again now there's no competition!!

If Ewart wants to be a hero I highly suggest he hire a charter flight to get all visitors stranded in Bermuda back to the UK. Pick a day like Sunday and if people have to stay a few extra days pick up their hotel tab courtesy of the people of Bermuda. If they have to leave early have the hotels re-imburse the rooms. It will all come out in the wash and the people wll have a less stressful stay on the island.
