Revealed: UBP Intended to Use No Confidence Motion to Seize Government

In a stunning revelation on ZBM last night, former UBP MP Darius Tucker revealed the fact that Kim Swan lied to the people of Bermuda. In the lead up to the no confidence vote, Swan said that his party had no intention of bringing down the PLP Government. He lied. The former UBP MP revealed that Swan did indeed intend to use the motion of no confidence to bring down the democratically elected PLP government.

Will Kim Swan apologise for lying to Bermudians and attempting to undermine our democracy? Doubtful.

And, what of of the protesters? Will the same group of angry and hateful demonstrators who were so aghast at the Premier, take to the streets and call for Kim Swan's head for lying to Bermudians, attempting to undermine our democracy and thwarting the will of the voters of this country? They should, but, they won't. They won't lift a finger because almost all of the angry and hateful demonstrators supported Swan's party in the last election.

If the demonstrators are truly interested in the best interests of Bermuda and not seizing power from the duly elected government of this country, they will take to the streets and protest the UBP. They will call for Kim Swan's resignation for both lying to the people of Bermuda and attempting to seize power from a democratically elected government. It's time to put the demonstrators' real intentions to the test."


Kim Swan needs to come clean and tell the Bermudian public if he was going to pull a Ewart and say "We had to deceive you..." If it is true then he should resign.

The London Times is reporting that a Washington lobbyist was involved in Dr. Brown’s controversial acceptance of the Uighurs without the knowledge of his own Cabinet, nor approval from the British Government as required by our Constitution.

Somehow I doubt that will happen. Mind you, it was so, so important that this was kept a secret wasn't it.

Not sure what Darius Tuckers issue is here.

Is it that his boss Kim lied and (Tucker) being an honest and upright person couldn't cope with that - or is it that he couldn't face the thought of being in power if indeed his boss did lie and the Government (mysteriously) were somehow removed from power as a result of the motion?

Then again, maybe Tucker didn't grasp what a 3 line whip was all about, and couldn't work out that effectively 22 people felt they had limited or no choice but to vote as they did?
