While I get the desire to help people deal with the red-tape and requirements to obtain a visa waiver, setting up an office to help "black males" fill in forms is foolish bandaid politics.

Dr. Brown is quoted as saying, ”Reliable anecdotal evidence suggests that there are hundreds of Bermudians, predominantly black males, who are eligible for visa waivers but who never apply for a variety of reasons.”

The Gazette says the Mincy report, a detailed look at young black males, said there was an aversion to forms and deficits in soft skills in this demographic.

Funny the extra services the public purse gets hit with when the basics of education aren't taken care of.   dunce

Priceless!

The Gazette announces that it will be none other than Rolfe "house nigg'er" Commissiong who will be heading up the new Visa Waiver Assistance Programme office.

Since Rolfe is a ex-con who was jailed for using a handgun in a violent bank robbery, I guess he has the experience for the job...  Undecided

Yes, he is a convicted bank robber.

In 1984, when Rolfe was 26 years old, he went into the Southampton Princess branch of the Bank of Butterfield, wielded a gun and demanded money.  During the robbery a shot was fired.

He was subsequently arrested, charged, convicted and served his time.
